Full Stack UX / UI / Research Design Lead

About The Role

Essential functions

  • Self-manage your time in a remote environment.

  • Create new products as well as redesign and retrofit existing products.

  • Think big, creating compelling and intuitive product designs.

  • Successfully communicate and collaborate across a variety of partners, including, and especially, engineers.

  • Fluency in user experience fundamentals: research, flows, wireframes, mockups, prototyping, usability testing.

  • Lead design conversations and surface opportunities to help our users succeed.

  • An outstanding portfolio of work/case studies demonstrating your principles, methodologies, and approach - that shows through the work you delivered.

  • Explore several design solutions, prototyping and iterating based on quantitative/qualitative customer research and experimentation to deliver the best experiences.

  • Collaborate effectively with a wide variety of cross-functional fields, teams, partners, and organizations.

  • Enthusiastic about mentoring and developing other designers and ability to coach them in their work.

  • Have an excellent understanding of design system patterns, design principles, and the limitations/capabilities of a platform technology.

  • Organize chaos and prioritize deliverables.

  • Work quickly, switch tasks easily, and be proactive and a self-starter.

  • Envision the ideal robust experience while being able to deliver coherent and logical installments, incrementally, toward that future vision.

  • Lead and have ownership over multiple product areas, and seeks opportunities to drive new and existing initiatives.

  • Clear verbal and written communication and clear documentation and reporting.

  • Extremely detail-oriented without getting overwhelmed.

 

About You

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise desktop/mobile User Experience Design, UX strategy and demonstrated ability to ship products at scale.

  • UX/UI/Design, related degree, OR equivalent work experience.

  • A portfolio of design work.

  • US citizen based in the US.

  • Pass standard background checks and potentially security clearance checks.

  • 10% travel to client locations (US/Europe).

  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping software and tools (Figma, Sketch Adobe XD) and software development.

  • Deep understanding and knowledge of web and mobile technologies and understanding the difference between the 2.

  • Proven communicator who knows how to influence stakeholders throughout the design journey.

  • Experience and/or understanding of front-end programming with CSS and React.

  • Experience in Agile/Lean in a continuous delivery environment. 

 

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in; US Govt, Military, US Veteran, Police, Security, First responder a huge plus.

Full Stack Design Lead
Product Manager

About The Role

Essential functions

  • Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution

  • Develop and manage project plans for product development and solutions.

  • Engage with multiple stakeholder groups to understand the demand, establishing road map and key milestones.

  • Partner extensively with engineering teams and any other internal team involved, to deliver product roadmap and drive feature implementation.

  • Translate product vision and roadmap into well-defined product requirements/user stories and user acceptance test criteria

  • In-depth knowledge of Data Governance and Management concepts (metadata, lineage, data quality, etc.)

  • Expectation management of various stakeholders/client groups.

  • Manage and execute large external data projects, recommend courses of action and manage relationships for positive progress, respond to complex problems and prescribe solutions

  • Align activities to data governance and data management standards/methods

  • Build consensus among internal clients/customers and across key partner/stakeholder on product vision and various elements.

  • Build strong relationships with various internal EY teams, leadership, and business stakeholders

  • Collaborate and share best practices across the team and serve as a role model for leading change, innovation, and transformation

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop operational strategies, define goals with direct responsibility for coordinating the execution of initiatives, processes and training

  • Provide functional and operational support/update to meet leadership’s strategic goals on key products

  • Partner with our customers (other internal EY teams), to better understand their problems/challenges and work together to deliver required solutions

  • Communicate issues and status reports to leadership and/or stakeholders; works to establish consensus and resolve issues

 

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • Applies judgment in tailoring methodologies, processes and practices to specific requirements of projects/products/services

  • Understands the Data Office and Firm’s go-to-market strategy and service delivery models, how core business services support business lines, and how business operations enable exceptional client service and high performing teams.

  • Manages complex to highly complex projects that require the ability to create and implement timelines related to project deliverables, assign tasks and follow up on their completion and manage sponsor/stakeholder expectations of the outcome of the deliverables.

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Possesses strong understanding of the firm’s business, organizational structure and operations and leverages it to effectively identify opportunities to support the firm’s strategy and key initiatives.

  • Experience with scrum and other agile development methods

  • Combination of deep technical knowledge and customer-focused mindset

  • Demonstrated strategic leadership capabilities, managing globally dispersed, virtual teams and global programs

  • Ability to direct a team and create an environment which supports generating and sharing creative ideas and solutions

  • Understanding of and desire to strive for technical excellence

  • Understanding of the business and demonstrated commercial acumen using commercial language that presents knowledge activities in the context of business objectives
